Know a physician or NP? Introduce them.

The thing that holds up most injectors is not training or product. It is finding a physician or Nurse Practitioner to provide medical direction. If you know one, an introduction from you is the fastest way to open up your city, for you and for every other injector waiting there.

Who to think of

  • A Nurse Practitioner you trained or worked with. In most provinces an NP can be the authorizing prescriber, and in Manitoba an NP is the route for a remote arrangement.
  • A physician with an interest in aesthetics, dermatology or family practice who wants to oversee a small number of practices properly.
  • The medical director where you already work, who may be willing to take on one or two more practices.

They need to be registered in the province where the clients are treated. They do not need to live in the same city: in most provinces a director can work remotely.

Where we need directors most

Alberta (Calgary, Edmonton and the rest of the province) and Manitoba (Winnipeg especially, and specifically NPs). We are also onboarding in Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. We do not operate in British Columbia or Quebec.

What to send them

Pick the page that fits the person and forward the link:

A message you can copy: "I am setting up an injectables practice and I need a Medical Director. This service introduces physicians and NPs to practices like mine. You choose which ones you take on. Would you look at it?"

What we tell them, so you know

  • It is real medical direction: assessing clients, issuing client-specific orders, reviewing charts, being reachable.
  • They choose every practice and can say no to any of them.
  • Terms are agreed directly between the director and each practice. We do not set them.
  • We check every registration against the college register.

Common questions

How do I find a Medical Director for Botox?

Ask the Nurse Practitioners and physicians you already know, check that anyone you consider is registered with the provincial college, or send one request to Plus One MD and be introduced to a verified physician or NP who fits your practice.

Can I ask a Nurse Practitioner I know to be my Medical Director?

Yes. In most provinces a Nurse Practitioner can be the authorizing prescriber for an aesthetic nursing practice. They need to be registered in the province where your clients are treated and comfortable with the treatments you offer.

Where are Medical Directors needed most?

Alberta, including Calgary and Edmonton, and Manitoba, where Nurse Practitioners in particular are needed in Winnipeg and across the province.
